WALK-OUT

Say it like this

Two receivers each side. Both outside linebackers walk out and bump them at the line.

-10-5+5+10+15AABBCCDDTGCGTQBRBXHYZTTEEMSWBCCFABCDrun fit / containmovement

What can go wrong

The walked-out OLB not getting physical enough to reroute the slot, opening a seam/post lane; zone-read backfield action confusing ILB run/pass keys.

How we fix it

OLB jams at the line, and pair an End/LB loop stunt specifically against zone-read looks.

Coach detail

Front shift

Both OLBs walk out over the slots. Tackles pressure the A-gaps to take away QB draw; Ends rush hard off the edge with outside leverage.

Coverage

Base shell stays Cover 3. Disguise with "YO-YO": show press-man pre-snap, bail to Cover 3 at the snap.

Gap changes vs base

  • Tackles become A-gap pressure players rather than pure two-way-go control players.
  • Ends rush the edge with outside leverage instead of squeezing C.
  • The walked-out OLBs give up their D-gap fit to the corners in run support.
