HEAVY + NOC
Say it like this
No quarterback — the running back gets the ball. Everybody slides toward the crowded side and stays home.
What can go wrong
The whole defense over-pursuing a play that turns into a reverse or naked boot.
How we fix it
Assignment discipline over aggression — this is the explicit coaching point across every source.

Front shift
Slant the front to the call/strength side. Re-reference every gap letter off the actual heavy-side center (NOC rule).
Coverage
Backside corner becomes an extra force/contain defender rather than sitting deep — the direct-snap "QB" is really a tailback and the mesh is slower to develop.
Gap changes vs base
- •Whole front slides one gap toward the strength.
- •Backside corner rolls up into force; the Free Safety leans toward the overload.
